Overview

FlixBus is a unique combination of tech-startup, e-commerce platform, and transportation company. FlixMobility is a young mobility provider, offering new alternatives for convenient, affordable, and environmentally-friendly travel via the FlixBus and FlixTrain brands. Thanks to a unique business model and innovative technology, the startup has quickly established Europe’s largest long-distance bus network and launched the first green long-distance trains in 2018 as well as a pilot project for all-electric buses in Germany and France. Since 2013, FlixMobility has changed the way over 100 million people have traveled throughout Europe and created thousands of new jobs in the mobility industry. In 2018, FlixMobility launched FlixBus USA to bring this new travel alternative to the United States. From locations throughout Europe and the United States, the FlixTeam handles technology development, network planning, operations control, marketing & sales, quality management, and continuous product expansion. The daily scheduled service and green FlixBus fleet are managed by bus partners from regional SMEs, while FlixTrain operates in cooperation with private train companies. Through these partnerships, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong international brand meet the experience and quality of tradition. The unique combination of a technology start-up, e-commerce platform, and classic transport company has positioned FlixMobility as a leader against major international corporations, permanently changing the European mobility landscape.

  • Augur

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2026

Augur is a London-based technology company focused on national security, public-space protection and critical infrastructure safety. Its platform ingests feeds from existing cameras and sensors, fuses them with AI and delivers real-time incident detection, coordinated response capabilities and post-event analytics. Privacy is built in by design, allowing operators to improve situational awareness without compromising civil liberties. Led by CEO Harry Mead, CTO Imran Lone and Head of Engineering Stefan Kopieczek, the company targets governments, infrastructure operators and venue owners facing heightened security threats across Europe. The fresh capital will fund rapid deployment of the technology throughout the region. Financially, Augur has raised $15 million to date via its seed round; no revenue or user metrics were disclosed. Future plans center on scaling deployments and enhancing its perception engine.

  • Jua

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2024

Jua offers the Earth Intelligence Platform, an AI decision engine powered by EPT-2.0, a proprietary large physics model trained on petabytes of multi-domain data. The platform simulates and predicts physical-world behavior to provide real-time forecasts of weather, energy supply-demand fluctuations, and grid-level dynamics. It is already in use by leading energy trading firms to simulate imbalances, anticipate pricing movements, and automate decision workflows. Jua plans to scale the commercial rollout across the energy sector, expand into adjacent markets such as agriculture and logistics, and double down on R&D. Financially, the company raised an $11M Series A, bringing total funding to $27M after a $16M seed round in 2024. Marvin Gabler is co-founder and was named the company’s new CEO. Jua is developing a foundational AI "physics" model that learns the natural world by ingesting diverse data sources to model and predict weather and climate. Its first application targets modeling and predicting weather and climate patterns for the energy industry, with that product due to launch in the coming weeks. The company plans to expand the model's use to agriculture, insurance, transportation and government. Jua says it trains on around 5 petabytes of data and brings together weather stations, satellite imagery, topography and other noisy, recent data into a single end-to-end system. Founders Andreas Brenner (CEO) and CTO Marvin Gabler bring weather research, deep learning and energy-sector experience to the project. The company claims its system uses 10,000 times less compute than legacy systems; Jua is still early-stage and has not yet launched its first products. Jua is an artificial intelligence climate startup developing technology to produce weather predictions for small, precise areas over short time windows. Its platform enables startups, companies, government institutions and researchers to create purpose-built weather models in a matter of hours. The company is currently offering the platform to a select number of customers on request and plans a wider release in early 2023. Jua intends to use its recent funding to expand its business reach. The company is led by co-founders Andreas Brenner (CEO) and Marvin Gabler (CTO). Jua maintains hubs in Zurich, Berlin and Cape Town.
