- PiLogic
Participated · Seed · May 2025
PiLogic, a Plaja Vista, CA-based company, builds vertical-specific, scalable Bayesian models using an advanced inference engine for aerospace and defense customers. The firm’s initial focus is on improving radar systems, onboard electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and sensor-fusion challenges. Its Radar Model tracks and predicts objects in 3D space, distinguishes object types (airplanes, drones), performs well when objects cross paths, and is adaptable to sonar, GPS, and LIDAR. Its Electrical Power System Diagnostics Model predicts component health from on-board sensor data, provides near-real-time remediation, can run on the ground or on satellites, and has been validated through work with NASA. PiLogic is led by CTO Mark Chavira, CEO Johannes Waldstein, and CRO Geoff Bough. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its footprint in the aerospace and defense industries and to upgrade rules-based systems with exact AI.
- Scalestack
Participated · Equity · Dec 2024
Scalestack offers an enterprise-grade data orchestration and enrichment hub combined with an agentic infrastructure that deploys swarms of AI agents to clean, normalize, dedupe and augment customer and market data. The system can enrich about 450,000 accounts within hours and de-anonymize roughly 200,000 sign-ups with high precision, generating actionable insights that feed directly into existing enterprise workflows. Customers such as MongoDB, Remote, Typeform, Harness and Redis use the platform for dynamic account profiling, TAM calculations, lead prioritization and territory ‘smoke-signal’ detection. Co-founders Elio Narciso and Alessandro Prioni describe the product as “Clay for the enterprise,” emphasizing its multimodal data reasoning across dozens of sources on the public web. The company currently monetizes through usage-based enrichment credits and is launching a promotional offer of 3 million free credits (valued at $150 k) to attract 30 new customers. Fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, expand integrations and scale sales efforts. Although revenue figures are not disclosed, the rapid processing volumes and marquee customers indicate early enterprise traction.
- Paren
Participated · Seed · Oct 2024
Paren aggregates, enriches, and serves comprehensive data on EV charging infrastructure, acting as a neutral platform that synthesizes fragmented datasets into a unified model. Its product is accessible via an online application and an API Gateway and is aimed at automakers, map makers, fleet operators, and other enterprise customers. Paren plans to scale its current data platform, build new services on top of its dataset, expand API access to reliability, and augment data around amenities, pricing, and safety. The company cites industry metrics including an estimated 100 million public fast charging sessions in the U.S. in 2024 and projects over 1 billion sessions by 2030 with roughly 7.5% of vehicles battery powered by then. Paren has pursued inorganic growth, acquiring EVSession LLC in March 2024 and more recently acquiring EVAdoption LLC, whose founder Loren McDonald joined Paren as Chief Evangelist. The company will use the new capital to grow its team, broaden data sets, and scale its platform to meet enterprise demand.
- Skillfully
Participated · Seed · Aug 2024
Skillfully operates a recruitment platform centered on simulations and assessment grading that lets employers evaluate candidates through skill-verified assessments. The platform also enables employers to hire directly from its TalentNetwork, which includes national career partners such as universities, community college systems, HBCUs, and workforce development organizations. Skillfully positions its TalentNetwork to surface a diverse and motivated candidate pool often overlooked by conventional resume-first hiring tools and professional networks. The company is led by CEO Brett Waikart. Skillfully raised $2.5M in seed funding to support its growth. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and further its product development efforts.
