Overview

FundingBox is a community where entrepreneurs can meet, interact and collaborate to win public funding, because it provides “scale ups” (startups and tech SMEs) with simple and personalized access to both public funding and interactive tech communities. Innovative organizations use FundingBox Enterprise to attract, build and grow thrilling communities which become integral parts of their ecosystems and FundingBox Spaces, which is a new professional network devoted to innovators, entrepreneurs and creators. FundingBox was created from the concept of Open Funding, which was awarded by the European Commission through the crowdsourcing contest for the "best web-entrepreneurship initiative", managed by OpenIdeo. With hubs in Spain, Denmark and Poland, FundingBox is a spin-off of a company with over 25 years’ experience in public funding, having won over 1.5 billion euros for its customers in this period. Its system handles all stages of the certification process, including document creation, process management, distribution, analysis, and hosting. Founded in 2021 by Sergey Butko and Vlad Turak, about 800 businesses and individuals use the platform; customers include Avon Canada, University of Illinois, and Oxford School District. The company reports rapidly growing revenues, with over 80% of revenue coming from the UK, US, and Canada. Certifier plans to invest in product development and continue building its API-first platform. Prior backers include business angels Bartosz Majewski and Marcin Deręgowski and Black Pearls VC. Certifier.me builds verifiable infrastructure to manage digital credentials, certificates, and diplomas for universities, businesses, and institutions. The company’s mission is to create a trusted infrastructure that becomes the standard for digital certificate issuance, storage, and verification. Its platform is designed to replace scanned PDF certificates and improve credentialing efficiency without printed documents. The solution is already used by more than 50 universities, companies, and organizations, including the University of Melbourne, Salesforce, Australian Pacific College, Sofia University, and the ASEAN University Network. Certifier is at an early stage and raised €260k in a pre-seed round; the funds will be invested in building an API and SDK and scaling sales processes. Founders include Vlad Turak and Sergey Butko, and investors are contributing both capital and sector know-how.

    TrustLynx is an Estonian provider of trust services integration solutions that embeds digital identity methods, e-signatures, e-sealing, validation and other trust services into customers’ digital channels and information management systems. Its platform eliminates the need to share data with third parties, keeping information security and data privacy under the client’s control while enabling integrated data processing and automation of business processes. The company is already used by a consortium of financial and banking service providers to improve customer onboarding and KYC, enable digital signatures and internet bank payment confirmations, and issue securely sealed accounts and transaction data across channels. TrustLynx solutions are deployed within clients’ controlled environments to meet high security, privacy, performance and continuity requirements and to comply with evolving trust service standards. The startup plans to expand its presence in Europe, with initial market focus on Poland and Italy. Financially, TrustLynx has secured over €300,000 in a recent funding round to support that international growth and the round remains open to additional investors.

The company reports its bots handle about 80% of customer inquiries and can cut call-centre operating costs by up to half; its voicebots achieve over 90% accuracy in understanding caller intent after just the first 10 data samples. Talkie.ai also uses voice cloning to make interactions more natural and offers both standard industry-specific solutions and fully customisable deployments. Founded in 2018 and operating in Poland, the UK and the US, the startup already derives more than a third of its revenue from the US. The new funding will be used to further specialise the healthcare offering, accelerate US expansion, grow the team and introduce off-the-shelf products for other industries.

    Quantee is a SaaS platform that leverages AI to deliver what it describes as the first truly AI-based dynamic insurance pricing engine for P&C and health insurers. The product enables insurers to build and deploy personalized tariffs up to 10x faster, manage them on a daily basis, and increase pricing accuracy while shortening time-to-market. The company has paying customers and an international presence, including DKV Seguros (Spain) and InterRisk VIG (Poland), and customers in several European countries. Quantee was founded in 2018 in Warsaw and was initially bootstrapped through product development, PoCs, and early traction with insurers. The founding team combines actuarial expertise (CEO Dawid Kopczyk) and enterprise insurance software sales experience (Mateusz Gintrowski). The recent financing is intended to fuel further growth, expansion into the UK and Spanish markets, and continued software development.
