  • Sensorium Therapeutics

    Participated · Series A · Nov 2022

Sensorium Therapeutics develops brain and mental health treatments derived from natural products and driven by mechanistic neuroscience. Its proprietary SensAI platform integrates artificial intelligence, chemistry, and neuroscience to mine more than 50 million curated relationships across biology, pharmacology, clinical outcomes, and human experience. SensAI has produced three differentiated programs in under three years, led by SNTX-2643, a first-in-class precision serotonin modulator for anxiety. The company recently received FDA clearance of an IND for SNTX-2643, enabling first-in-human dosing beginning in Q3 2025. Sensorium describes SNTX-2643 as re-engineered from a natural product to enable rapid onset, reduce off-target side effects, and avoid sedation versus benzodiazepine-like drugs. Sensorium has built an IP estate extending into the 2040s and has made executive leadership changes concurrent with its clinical advancement. Sensorium Therapeutics is a Boston-based biotechnology company developing nature-inspired psychoactive medicines for mental health. The company leverages medicinal chemistry, neuroscience, and machine learning to discover and optimize compounds. Its initial asset is SENS-01 and it operates the Biodynamic Discovery Platform (BDP), a drug discovery engine that rapidly identifies, synthesizes, and enhances targeted molecules as novel therapeutics. Sensorium closed a $30 million Series A financing to advance SENS-01 and further develop the BDP. The company aims to use the proceeds to move those programs forward.
