  • OneLayer

    Participated · Series A · Oct 2025

OneLayer’s platform turns private cellular networks into fully integrated enterprise IT environments, giving organizations device discovery, segmentation, visibility and control without requiring specialized cellular expertise. Its software secures large-scale deployments across utilities, manufacturing, mining, airports and other critical-infrastructure sectors, including Southern Linc’s 122,000-square-mile LTE network and Evergy’s multi-state grid serving thousands of devices. The company reports 6× revenue growth last year and 3× growth this year, supported by a customer pipeline that extends through 2026. A broad partner ecosystem—spanning Nokia, Ericsson, Digi, Cradlepoint, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Palo Alto Networks and others—helps embed OneLayer’s technology throughout the private cellular value chain. With fresh capital, management plans to accelerate go-to-market initiatives, enhance product capabilities and expand further into Europe and Latin America. Headquartered in Boston and founded by CEO Dave Mor and VP R&D Or Turgeman, OneLayer has raised more than $43 million to date.

  • Foundation EGI

    Participated · Series A · Jul 2025

Foundation EGI offers an engineering general intelligence (EGI) platform that combines purpose-built large language models with physics-based context and engineering best practices to tackle design-to-manufacturing complexity. The platform transforms disorganized specifications, siloed tribal knowledge, and outdated instructions into succinct, structured, auditable, and human- and machine-executable workflows. It targets multiple manufacturing domains including automotive, heavy industry, appliances, power tools, and advanced manufacturing and is used at leading Fortune 500 industrial brands. The company was born from MIT cross-disciplinary research led by co-founders Wojciech Matusik and Michael Foshey and cites a 2024 paper, "Large Language Models for Design and Manufacturing," as foundational. Foundation EGI says its vision is to turn manufacturing's biggest bottlenecks into breakthroughs and enable AI-native co-design between humans and machines. Financially, the company announced an oversubscribed Series A of $23M, raising over $30M in total. Foundation EGI has launched a proprietary domain-specific large language model and agentic AI platform purpose-built for engineering and manufacturing workflows. The platform interprets complex natural-language instructions, converts them into clean, structured code and machine-executable workflows, and integrates with industry-standard design tools. Early pilots with several unnamed Fortune 500 industrial companies reportedly show reductions in design-to-manufacture cycles, fewer production errors, and faster time-to-market. The company plans to use the new funding to expand engineering and product teams, scale enterprise pilots and onboard new clients, enhance integrations with leading engineering tools, and advance its core LLM to cover more specialized manufacturing domains. Foundation EGI was co-founded by Mok Oh, Ph.D., Professor Wojciech Matusik, and Michael Foshey, and its work was catalyzed by a 2024 MIT paper titled “Large Language Models for Design and Manufacturing.”

  • e2ip technologies

    Led · Equity · Apr 2023

e2ip technologies develops printed electronics, materials science, advanced manufacturing processes and integrated touchscreen systems to deliver Human Machine Interface (HMI), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Smart Structural Surface solutions. The company designs and manufactures technologies and products that bridge technology and design from conception to production. Its offerings serve customers in the aerospace, medical, industrial, transportation and household appliances sectors. In April 2023 e2ip closed $120M in Growth funding. The company intends to use the proceeds to expand embedded systems capabilities at its high-volume facility in Casablanca, Morocco and to consolidate Canadian facilities into a new integrated Manufacturing-R&D facility in Montreal by the end of 2024, which will house its new head office. Led by CEO Eric Saint-Jacques, e2ip positions itself as an innovation leader in printed electronics and embedded systems for global markets.

  • LandingAI

    Led · Series A · Nov 2021

Landing AI builds machine-learning operations tools for manufacturers and launched its flagship product just over a year ago. Its LandingLens product is a visual inspection tool that uses AI and deep learning to find product defects faster and more accurately. The company advocates a data-centric AI approach and offers no-code/low-code capabilities that can enable domain experts to build advanced models in less than a day. Founder Andrew Ng says the goal is to help thousands of manufacturers build bespoke models without large teams, and to develop tools that work in low-data manufacturing settings. Landing AI says it can train models with fewer than 50 images in some cases and remains early in the data-centric AI movement while continuing to innovate on missing technology. The company raised capital to scale the team and further improve the product after seeing product-market fit.

  • Samdesk

    Led · Series A · Sep 2021

Founded in 2013 and based in Edmonton with an office in London, Samdesk offers an AI-powered crisis monitoring platform that ingests social media, web crawled sources, government sites, sensory feeds and proprietary data to deliver real-time alerts. The platform detects more than 43 event types in over 20 languages and currently surfaces 80,000–90,000 critical events per month for customers across corporate and public sectors, including Siemens, BBC, Transport for London and The New York Times. Samdesk attributes recent sales growth to COVID-19–driven demand for risk detection and business continuity tools and has rebranded from Social Asset Management to Samdesk. The company plans to invest the new capital in product development (including integrations to reduce alert noise), and to expand sales, marketing, and customer success as it grows into more regions. Samdesk currently has 35 employees and expects to add 15–20 hires over the next year. SAM operates an online platform that powers social media search, curation and storytelling for newsrooms and media companies. The company secured an undisclosed seed financing in which The Associated Press and a number of other investors participated. It will use the capital to grow its development team and customer base and to build out offices in major media centres, starting with London and followed by New York. Led by founder and CEO James Neufeld, SAM was launched in 2013. The company counts AP, Reuters, FT, WSJ, Guardian, Toronto Star, Reportedly and other blue‑chip media companies as clients.
