- Unibose
Led · Series A · Feb 2026
Unibose is a Chennai-based industrial robotics startup that engineers ATEX-certified robots capable of operating in explosive or otherwise hazardous environments such as oil & gas, petrochemical, fertiliser, and heavy process facilities. Its robots handle tank cleaning, confined-space residue removal, high-pressure surface preparation, and internal structural inspection while simultaneously gathering high-resolution sensor data. The platform layers computer-vision-driven defect detection and automated compliance documentation onto the mechanical hardware, positioning the solution as both a maintenance tool and a data acquisition system. Backed by approximately INR 80 million (~USD 930,000) in disclosed funding, the company aims to eliminate human entry into high-risk zones, shorten plant shutdowns, and digitize regulatory reporting for customers. With fresh capital, Unibose plans to scale manufacturing, extend its OEM partner ecosystem, and expand sales across India, GCC countries, and Southeast Asia. The company claims to have built Asia’s first ATEX-certified industrial cleaning robot, giving it a significant regulatory and technical moat in a niche often underserved by general-purpose robotics vendors.
- SpaceFields
Participated · Series A · Sep 2025
Founded in 2021 by Apurwa Masook, Rounak Agrawal, and Sudarshan Samal, SpaceFields designs and manufactures solid-fuel powered propulsion systems for UAVs, rockets, and spacecraft. The company targets both defence and commercial aerospace markets and has already secured four defence contracts through the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX initiative. SpaceFields holds patents on four indigenously developed propulsion technologies, underscoring its technical differentiation. Management plans to use fresh capital to scale manufacturing capacity, obtain key regulatory certifications, and expand engineering, operations, and business teams. The firm is positioning itself as a provider of critical, sovereign, dual-use technologies within India’s defence and aerospace value chain. To date, SpaceFields has raised a cumulative $6.3 million, including a $1.3 million seed round earlier in 2024 and the current pre-Series A financing.
- Skye Air Mobility
Participated · Seed · Nov 2022
Founded in 2019, Skye Air Mobility develops and operates a hyperlocal drone delivery network that combines aerial drones capable of carrying up to 10 kg with a proprietary traffic management system called Skye UTM and an AI-enabled hub-pod-walker ground logistics layer. The company’s ‘Physical AI stack’ links autonomous drones, airspace management and ground robotics into a single delivery chain designed for India’s dense urban environments. Over a little more than two years of commercial operations, Skye Air has completed 3.6 million autonomous deliveries for e-commerce, healthcare and industrial clients. Management positions the platform as a way to shorten last-mile delivery times while preserving jobs through its hybrid ground-and-air approach. With fresh capital, Skye Air plans to scale from its Delhi-NCR base to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata within the next 18 months. The expansion will focus on deepening its Physical AI stack and building additional delivery infrastructure to capture a share of India’s $5.5 billion—and rapidly growing—last-mile logistics market.
- BosonQ Psi
Participated · Seed · Jul 2022
BosonQ Psi’s core product is the Physics-Constrained Quantum-Assisted Machine Learning (PC-QAML) platform, which combines physics-based modeling with quantum-inspired computational techniques to perform AI inference. The platform is designed to run directly on space-qualified processors instead of relying on cloud or GPU-based computing. BQP plans to use its SpaceWERX SBIR award to develop and validate a software application that improves the speed and accuracy of identifying unknown objects and behaviors in space. The company positions its technology to operate on satellites and forward-deployed systems with limited computing power and intermittent communications. BQP has previously worked with the Space Domain Awareness Tap Lab and supports mission objectives for Space Operations Command Mission Delta 2 and Space Systems Command. The article notes this is BQP’s first federal contract.
