  • Omnix Medical

    Participated · Series C · Oct 2025

Founded in 2015, Omnix Medical is focused on discovering and developing novel antimicrobial peptide (AMP) therapies that address life-threatening, antibiotic-resistant infections. Its lead candidate, OMN6, rapidly destroys bacterial cell membranes and has received Fast-Track and Qualified Infectious Disease Product designations from the U.S. FDA. The company is currently running Phase II proof-of-concept trials targeting Gram-negative pathogens such as Acinetobacter baumannii, a major cause of hospital-acquired infections. Proceeds from recent funding will also support regulatory preparations, manufacturing scale-up, and advancement of additional AMP candidates in the pipeline. Unlike traditional antibiotics that target specific bacterial functions, OMN6’s pore-forming mechanism minimizes the chance of resistance development. Since inception, Omnix Medical has raised a total of $43 million to finance its R&D and clinical programs.
