- Xsensio
Participated · Series A · Mar 2026
Xsensio is a Lausanne-based deep-tech company building Lab-on-Skin, a wearable biosensing device that continuously measures multiple biochemical biomarkers to inform clinical decision-making. The platform delivers near real-time, multi-modal biochemical data that has traditionally been inaccessible at the point of care, enabling more personalized and preventive healthcare. Spun out of academic research, Xsensio collaborates with leading hospitals and industrial partners to validate and scale its technology. A newly announced long-term partnership with Texas Instruments will leverage TI’s semiconductor expertise to miniaturize and manufacture the biosensing system at scale. The firm has been recognized by TIME as one of the World’s Top HealthTech Companies of 2025. With its recent $7 million Series A, Xsensio is well-capitalized to accelerate clinical deployment and industrial scalability of its platform. The oversubscribed round underscores investor confidence in Xsensio’s progress and market potential.
- ENANTIOS
Led · Seed · Jun 2024
ENANTIOS is an ETH Zürich deep‑tech spin‑off that commercializes a laser‑spectroscopy molecular characterization method based on Raman Optical Activity (ROA). The technology, developed over a five‑year research project at ETH Zurich, enables complete characterization of complex molecules and aspects of three‑dimensional structure not resolvable with other methods. ENANTIOS offers pharmaceutical companies and complex chemical providers data and insights intended to accelerate development of structurally complex drugs and chemical products. The company raised CHF1.8 million following a convertible loan in 2023 and plans to use the funds to improve its measurement technology, expand the team, and forge collaborations. Management says the capital will support go‑to‑market acceleration, talent acquisition across engineering, science, business, and sales, and strategic partnerships with pharma and academic institutions. ENANTIOS positions its approach as a way to remove critical bottlenecks in traditional drug development workflows.
- Smeetz
Led · Series A · Jun 2022
Smeetz SA provides a data-driven ticketing platform and dynamic pricing tools that enable attractions and cultural venues to sell tickets, memberships, dynamic packages, merchandising and add-ons through multiple digital channels and marketplaces. The platform uses AI to help customers launch products faster and capture additional revenue beyond ticket sales. The company is focused on establishing dynamic pricing across the attractions industry. In June 2022 Smeetz completed a $4.1M Series A to support that expansion. Proceeds will be used to grow human resources and to invest in research and development. A second closing is planned in the coming months. Smeetz offers a flexible booking and marketing software that manages bookings, attendee management and targeted digital marketing for a wide range of activities and events. Its platform integrates into websites and aims to increase revenue through smart pricing, sales predictions and targeted campaigns. The company is developing an AI-driven smart pricing model that will adjust discounts based on factors such as demand, weather forecasts and sales evolution to encourage advance bookings. Smeetz plans to expand into additional regional verticals including nightclubs, tourist offices and festivals and to grow further into the Swiss-German market and the rest of Europe. The startup was founded in 2017 and is based in Lausanne. Its current financing position includes €1.3 million raised to date and plans for a €2.3 million Series A in the first half of 2021.
- INERGIO
Led · Seed · Jan 2022
INERGIO Technologies SA develops flexible fuel cell electrical power generators and is a spin-off from EPFL and HEIG-VD based at EPFL Innovation Park. The company has developed a minimum viable product. Its stated mission is to support a clean energy transition by producing electricity from fuels such as propane when hydrogen is complex to handle. INERGIO will use the financing to initiate product commercialization, obtain CE certification, and expand production capacity. Mahmoud Hadad is CEO and founder, and the company highlights support from partners, customers and its investor network.
- IDUN Technologies
Participated · Seed · Sep 2021
On September 3, 2021, IDUN Technologies AG announced it had closed a funding transaction. The company raised a total of CHF 2 million and received CHF 0.5 million as the final tranche. The transaction was led by returning investor MICA Ventures AG and WieInvest AG. Participating investors included returning investor Privilège Ventures, Joyance Partners, LLC, new investor CADFEM International AG, and Think Future Holding GmbH. The announcement provides the funding amounts, tranche detail, and investor list but does not disclose product, operating metrics, or use-of-proceeds information. IDUN Technologies develops accurate and comfortable sensors for wearable devices, centered on its Dryode product: a soft, flexible dry electrode for high-precision biopotential monitoring. The Dryode Kit, a reusable high-end electrode set targeting researchers, developers, and makers, is already available on the market. The company is a spin-off from ETH Zurich and currently has a team of ten employees. IDUN plans to expand its product portfolio with electrodes for scalp EEG and in-ear EEG. Financially, the startup recently closed a seed round with Sony and has taken an additional investment from Joyance Partners in the form of a convertible loan. Management is fundraising for a Series A round scheduled for early 2021 and intends to target VCs with neurotech, BCI, and international focus. IDUN Technologies develops and manufactures comfortable, preparation-free biopotential electrodes (Dryode) designed to deliver high-quality signals for brain and vital-sign monitoring in hearables, gaming and VR headsets. The company addresses technical challenges in skin-electrode interfaces and complex 3D structures to enable accurate, unobtrusive biometric wearables. Its Dryode material and physiology expertise are positioned as the first product in a pipeline toward continuous body monitoring for sports diagnostics, well-being and brain–computer interfaces. IDUN aims to be the interface between users' skin and everyday wearable devices to support future healthcare needs and the 'Internet of Humans.' The spin-off originates from ETH Zurich and has participated in Sony’s Startup Acceleration Program Europe. The company has stated it will scale its innovation and further explore product applications with new funding. IDUN Technologies develops silicon-based electrodes that conform to skin and remain conductive without gel for use in medical and non-medical wearable devices. The company was founded in 2017 as an ETH Zurich spinoff by Séverine Chardonnens and Simon Bachmann. It targets shortcomings of common electrodes—gel electrodes that dry out and irritate skin and dry electrodes that are painful and give poor signal quality. The silicon-based material aims to provide more accurate data analysis and higher wearing comfort. The article cites a large market opportunity, noting 300 million vital-sign monitoring devices were sold worldwide in 2017. IDUN plans to bring its first product to market later this year and will use the Venture Kick prize to accelerate industrialization.
