Qomodo is an all-in-one payment methods aggregator that brings buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) and POS solutions to physical merchants. Its core product lets consumers pay in flexible, interest-free installments in-store while the software aims to simplify merchant transactions and reduce payment fees and credit risk. The company says it serves about 2,500 physical merchants, mostly in Italy, and has partnerships with retailers including Decathlon, Calzedonia, Moschino, Samsonite, Nike and Pandora. Qomodo plans to expand beyond BNPL and POS by launching additional banking products such as cards and bank accounts. Financially, the startup has raised both equity and credit facilities, bringing total capital to date to €48 million (around $49.6M). Qomodo provides a Buy Now Pay Later suite and payments platform for physical retailers, combining an interest-free installment "Pay over time" product, a smartPOS "Pay now" terminal, and an online checkout plus Tap-to-phone "Pay now remotely" option. Its BNPL flow approves customers in approximately 30 seconds without payslips or paper documents, while the smartPOS accepts major card networks and the SoftPOS turns Android phones into card readers. The company says it served over 500 merchants during stealth and has agreements in progress to onboard thousands of physical retailers via API integrations. Co-founded in 2023 by Gianluca Cocco and Gaetano De Maio and based in Milan, Qomodo aims to expand operations and grow merchant reach. Financially, the company completed a €34.5M pre-seed funding round to support those expansion plans.

Led · Equity · Apr 2022
Insoore, launched by Rome-headquartered Whoosnap, offers an alternative claims management model that digitises and accelerates document collection and claims processes. The platform provides insurance and fleet management companies access to a community of users who produce certified video and photographic documentation. The company says this approach saves time and costs for customers. It has raised €5.5 million to support product and commercial development. Proceeds will be used to develop AI projects in damage detection, recruit new talent and expand globally. Company leadership and investors expect the funding to drive strong revenue growth as the business scales.
