Deliveristo operates a digital marketplace and app that connects chefs, restaurateurs and other Ho.Re.Ca. operators with producers and distributors across Italy. Launched in 2019, the platform lists over 60,000 food and beverage items from more than 350 Italian suppliers. Its customer base includes over 1,300 subscribers (chefs, restaurants, shops and delivery-only kitchens) concentrated in Milan, Turin, Rome, Bologna and Florence. Deliveristo positions itself as a “pure software marketplace” with a lean cost structure and a scalable business model, and claims sustainability benefits such as reduced food waste and lower CO2 emissions. The company plans to use new funding to consolidate its position in the Italian market, validate the model in other countries and prepare for a significant expansion round. It also intends to roll out new services for customers and suppliers, including data-driven marketing and payments services. Deliveristo operates an online B2B marketplace that connects restaurant owners and food suppliers across the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, enabling digital orders and single-point billing. The platform uses a dropshipping model, ordering ingredients as needed rather than holding warehouse inventory, which reduces logistics costs. Deliveristo lists over 300 suppliers and some 15,000 products, serving both modern and traditional restaurants as well as stores and dark kitchens. Its service simplifies purchasing for restaurateurs by aggregating producers and distributors in one place. The company says the fresh funding will be used to expand within Italy and into other parts of Europe.

The platform provides insurance and fleet management companies access to a community of users who produce certified video and photographic documentation. The company says this approach saves time and costs for customers. It has raised €5.5 million to support product and commercial development. Proceeds will be used to develop AI projects in damage detection, recruit new talent and expand globally. Company leadership and investors expect the funding to drive strong revenue growth as the business scales.

Enerbrain develops an IoT energy-retrofit solution that applies plug-and-play sensors and a regulation device to optimize ventilation, heating and cooling using AI-driven algorithms. Its system measures temperature, humidity, CO2, pollutants and occupant presence and is compatible with all HVAC systems. The technology is sold as a one-stop energy-saving platform aimed at utilities and customers across sectors including airports, malls, supermarkets, schools, offices and hospitals. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Torino, Italy, Enerbrain currently delivers solutions in 13 markets and operates three offices in Europe and Asia. The company reported a record year with revenues growing more than 300% year-on-year. Enerbrain plans to use recent funding to strengthen international market position, develop new business models and expand R&D into energy transition and air-quality applications. Enerbrain develops an IoT energy-retrofit solution that turns wasteful buildings into smarter, healthier and more sustainable ones. The system uses plug-and-play sensors compatible with all HVAC systems to measure outdoor and indoor temperature, relative humidity, CO2, pollutants and occupant counts. A device and machine-learning algorithms regulate ventilation, heating and cooling in real time and continuously refine programming to eliminate waste. The company reports that two days of installation can permanently cut energy consumption by about 30% while improving indoor air quality and thermal comfort. Enerbrain has commercial traction, including contracts with multi-utility IREN and a project to retrofit 89 Turin City Council buildings expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 1,400 tonnes. Founded in 2015 and based in Turin, Enerbrain won the EIT Digital Challenge 2018 and joined the EIT Digital Accelerator to support international growth. After closing a €2M financing round, the company plans to use the funds to accelerate international expansion and develop new patents in the energy efficiency sector.

The company intends to use the new funds to enable European service providers and companies to take back full independence and control over their data, infrastructures, and costs. Cubbit is a distributed cloud storage company that does not use centralized server farms, instead enabling decentralized data centers by connecting internet resources in homes and businesses. Its zero-knowledge technology provides privacy by design and its architecture reduces CO2 emissions by avoiding large server farms. The company was founded in 2016 by co-CEOs Stefano Onofri and Alessandro Cillario, CTO Marco Moschettini, and Lorenzo Posani, PhD. In 2020 Cubbit distributed products to its first 3,500 customers across more than 70 countries. Cubbit recently raised €7m, consisting of €3.5m in equity, €2.4m in convertible notes and €1.1m in debt. The company intends to use the proceeds to grow its B2C and B2B Sync&Share services, R&D Backup and Object Storage solutions, and to launch the Next Generation Cloud, a distributed cloud network for pioneer companies.
