  • UpGrid

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

UpGrid builds an operating system to help coordinate, bill and scale local energy sharing among utilities, energy providers and energy communities. The team is led by founders Hagen Lihl, Nick Bänninger and Rafael Roman and recently completed the BRYCK Accelerator within the Energy Cluster. • Immitra Bio

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

Immitra Bio is developing scalable, one-time curative in-vivo gene editing therapies built around a mutation-agnostic editing approach and a digital target discovery platform. Its lead candidate, IB-003, is being developed as a potential one-time curative in-vivo gene editing treatment for an inherited anemia. The company's approach is designed to avoid complex ex-vivo cell manipulation, patient conditioning, and stem cell transplantation, aiming to enable off-the-shelf formulations that treat all patients within a given disease regardless of underlying mutation. Immitra Bio says its platform could generate dozens of differentiated therapeutic assets more quickly than highly personalized approaches. The recent CHF 2.4 million pre-seed financing will primarily fund preclinical proof-of-concept work for IB-003 and support additional discovery and validation across the pipeline and platform refinement. The company highlights scalability and commercial viability as core objectives for its technology.

  • LogBook

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2024

LogBook has developed a proprietary data‑gathering and analysis system that consolidates insights about logistics locations into a single centralized platform. The product reduces the complexity and time associated with manual research and gives clients easily accessible, actionable data for logistics operations. The company combines AI agents that constantly source new information with humans in the loop to assure high data quality. Its stated goals are to streamline logistics operations, enhance transparency, and make supply chains more resilient and sustainable. LogBook was co‑founded by Leonard Göltl and Bernhard Elkuch in 2024. The startup recently closed a pre‑seed raise of more than USD 1 million to fund continued product development and expansion.

  • Rrreefs

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2024

Rrreefs designs a modular reef system made of 3D-printed clay modules that facilitate natural settlement of corals, fish and other marine organisms and offers an end-to-end reef regeneration service including analysis, regeneration, scientific monitoring, community integration and biodiversity reporting. The technology, based on research from ETH Zurich, aims to catalyze natural ocean regeneration without permanent human intervention. Founded in 2021 as an ETH Zurich spinout and based in Zurich, Rrreefs commercially launched in 2023. In field trials across five countries the company reported rapid colonization and substantial increases in fish abundance within months. Since commercialization it has acquired more than 20 paying customers on four continents and recorded CHF 1.3 million in revenue, with a current project pipeline of about CHF 2.4 million. Rrreefs works with corporate partners such as Melitta and Accor and has observed growing governmental interest in markets including Panama and the Philippines.

  • Helio

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2023

Helio is a Zurich-based company founded in 2018 that employs a real-time algorithm to reroute computing tasks to underused or renewable-energy-powered data centers, improving cloud resource allocation. The platform emphasizes carbon-aware workload scheduling, growing a network of green data centers, and aggregating excess capacity into the cloud spot market. Helio is targeting market verticals with high compute demand, notably 3D rendering, AI, and VFX rendering. The company positions its model as a cost-saving and greener alternative to traditional cloud providers by addressing industry efficiency levels currently below 20%. Helio has set a target to reduce CO2 emissions by 200Mt by 2030. The recent funding is intended to accelerate product development, scale market penetration, and expand the platform’s sustainable-compute capabilities.
