  • Webel

    Participated · Series A · Mar 2026

Founded in 2018, Webel operates a digital marketplace for home services and currently serves more than 2 million users with around 350,000 registered professionals and nearly one million service listings. The platform operates in 31 Spanish cities and has recently started expanding into the United Kingdom. Webel offers more than 30 service categories, including cleaning, ironing, handyman work, small renovations, moving services, tutoring, childcare and appliance repair. The company emphasizes a cost structure that delivers prices typically 30–40% lower than competitors while charging professionals lower-than-average commissions and allowing them control over pricing, schedules and clients. Webel’s immediate plans include strengthening its presence in Spain and growing visibility for newer service categories. The recently raised €4.3M pre-Series A round will be used mainly for marketing and product development to support those plans.

  • FaradaIC Sensors

    Participated · Equity · Apr 2025

FaradaIC Sensors develops microchip-based electrochemical gas sensors that use a proprietary solid-state ion-conductive material (MECS) to eliminate liquid electrolytes. By leveraging standard semiconductor manufacturing processes the company says it can miniaturize sensors and enable mass production for applications detecting gases such as oxygen, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen. The firm intends to scale up production — including a product referred to as Faraday-Ox — to serve industries from medical devices and food freshness monitoring to automotive and consumer electronics. FaradaIC raised €4.5M in a funding round led by JOIN Capital to help scale its microchip technology. The article notes MECS addresses limitations of legacy electrochemical sensors (size, power, lifespan, scalability) and cites a growing global gas sensor market projected to exceed $35B by 2030. CEO Dr. Ryan Guterman characterized the technology as a "once-in-a-generation leap" enabling millions of sensors to be produced, a capability the company says competitors lack.
