Honeypot Finance is a decentralized finance startup operating within the Berachain ecosystem. Its primary focus is developing an automated market-maker (AMM) perpetual contract decentralized exchange that it believes will eliminate the structural limits of order-book-style perpetual platforms. The company already offers cross-chain liquidity tools and views the upcoming DEX as a crucial extension of its existing infrastructure. Funds from its latest raise will support research, development, and deployment of the new exchange while integrating a broader product matrix. The company announced a $4.2M funding round led by Animoca Brands with participation from a broad group of crypto investors and influencers. Bloktopia has secured a slate of confirmed "Anchor Tenants" including Animoca Brands, Polygon, Avalanche, Dextools, DuckDAO, Anti Fund, Polkastarter, Travala, Kucoin and others, with more agreements in process. A final $700k is planned to complete the raise via an IDO for the native $BLOK token, scheduled for Oct 5–6, 2021, on Seedify, Red Kite, OxBull and TrustPad launchpads.
