- Quantlytica
Participated · Equity · Aug 2024
Quantlytica is an AI-driven liquidity allocation protocol that aims to simplify finding and constructing capital strategy portfolios for Web3. The protocol applies multidimensional learning on DeFi projects and market data and exposes modular, composable tools to make DeFi portfolio construction and testing faster and easier. The team launched a second-season points activity on August 2 and says it will announce a TGE schedule in the near term. Quantlytica completed a €1 million financing and plans to use the proceeds to support protocol development. The company’s product and roadmap emphasize AI-driven allocation and modular tooling for liquidity distribution in DeFi.
- Codatta
Participated · Seed · Jun 2024
codatta is a decentralized data protocol focused on building foundational data infrastructure with scientific confidence for contributed data. It aims to let Web3 users monetize their data without compromising privacy while contributing to public datasets. The protocol operates a scalable network of data contributors and raises data confidence through AI-verified evidence and multi-party cross-referencing. Developers can build ML-driven Web3-native applications and protocols across use cases such as anti-fraud networks, on-chain advertising and cross-DApp recommendation layers, and credit-based lending products. codatta launched its Beta in April 2024 and plans to accelerate developer tools R&D, enhance AI capabilities, build decentralized technology, and increase community participation.
- Honeypot Finance
Participated · Equity · Jun 2024
Honeypot Finance is a decentralized finance startup operating within the Berachain ecosystem. Its primary focus is developing an automated market-maker (AMM) perpetual contract decentralized exchange that it believes will eliminate the structural limits of order-book-style perpetual platforms. The company already offers cross-chain liquidity tools and views the upcoming DEX as a crucial extension of its existing infrastructure. Funds from its latest raise will support research, development, and deployment of the new exchange while integrating a broader product matrix. Honeypot also plans to build a more sustainable asset-settlement framework and dynamic liquidity-management mechanisms aimed at institutional users. Following the round, the company is valued at $35 million, but no revenue or user metrics have been disclosed.
- Bitlayer
Participated · Seed · Mar 2024
Founded in October 2023, Bitlayer Labs is building a Bitcoin Layer 2 network based on the Bitcoin Virtual Machine (BitVM) to expand application programmability and tap into Bitcoin security. The team launched mainnet V1 in early 2024 and released a trust-minimized BitVM Bridge in July. Bitlayer has released integrations with chains including Arbitrum, Base, Cardano, and Sui and plans to ship a V2 of its mainnet later this year. The project raised capital through both private and public rounds; the fresh capital will be used for operational expansion, team growth, and ecosystem development. As of this raise, Bitlayer's total funding stands at $29.91 million across private and public rounds. Bitlayer is positioned as the first Bitcoin Layer 2 based on Bitcoin finality, offering a native environment through technologies such as OpVM, Finality Bridge, and RtEVM. It has implemented OpVM, which combines fraud proofs (BitVM) and validity proofs (OP_CAT) to enable Bitcoin L1 verification of arbitrary computations. The project launched Mainnet‑V1 on April 15 and now hosts over 280 deployed DApps across infrastructure, wallets, DeFi, NFTs, gaming, metaverse, and RWAs. Bitlayer reports partnerships with more than 30 Web3 platforms including Hacken, AWS Cloud, Ankr, Polyhedra, Babylon, Particle Network, and Meson. The team is preparing the imminent launch of Bitlayer V2, a Bitcoin‑native rollup whose state transitions are protected by OpVM. The company has raised a total of $25 million to date, funds the team says will accelerate development, scalability, and user accessibility. Bitlayer Labs offers a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution based on the BitVM paradigm. Its core objective is to address the trade-off between security and Turing completeness in BTC Layer 2 through cryptographic innovations and blockchain protocol engineering. The company aims to become the computation layer for Bitcoin, introducing ultra-scalability while inheriting Bitcoin’s security. Bitlayer targets a high-throughput, low-cost transaction experience for users. It intends to use recent funding to expand growth and development efforts. The Series A brought the company’s total capital raised to $16M. Bitlayer is a Bitcoin Layer 2 infrastructure provider building Layer 2 infrastructure for Bitcoin. The company plans to launch its mainnet on April 5. It will introduce an ecosystem incentive program called Ready Player One. Bitlayer announced completion of a $5 million seed financing. The round was led by Framework Ventures and ABCDE Capital, with participation from StarkWare, OKX Ventures, Alliance DAO, UTXO Management, Asymmetric Capital, Kenetic Capital, Pivot Global, Web3Port, Mindfulness Capital, C6E Capital, PAKA, Comma3 Capital, Kronos Ventures, dozens of institutions, and individual investors including Dan Held, Ryan Selkis, and Dan McArdle.
- BEVM
Participated · Seed · Mar 2024
BEVM is a decentralized EVM-compatible Bitcoin Layer-2 project based on the Taproot Consensus. It uses BTC as gas and enables all dApps that run on Ethereum to operate on Bitcoin L2s. The project plans to expand the Bitcoin Layer-2 ecosystem via a BEVM-Stack "layer-2-as-a-service" to let developers launch applications with one click. BEVM also intends to build a Decentralized Bitcoin Foreign Exchange (DBFX) protocol to bridge native BTC into DeFi protocols. The team raised $10 million in a seed and partial Series A funding round, and its post-investment valuation is estimated at $200 million. More than 20 institutions participated and the funding will be used to expand activities and further decentralize the Bitcoin ecosystem.
