  • Néboda

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2026

Founded in 2019 by Iván García Besada and Roberto Estévez Quintela, Néboda has built its own vertical-indoor agriculture system that combines hydroponics, robotics and artificial intelligence to optimize every stage of leafy-green and aromatic-herb cultivation. The platform delivers pesticide-free, flavorful and longer-lasting produce at costs competitive with traditional agriculture. Over the last three years the company has quadrupled yield per square meter, cut water use by more than 90 %, and minimized its environmental footprint. Néboda currently operates a 200 m² pre-industrial plant in Galicia with an annual capacity of 8,000 kg, selling all output through leading Iberian fresh-produce distributors. The system is designed to be easily replicated worldwide, enabling local production and lower logistics costs. With the new funding, the firm will validate key business metrics, secure additional sales agreements and prepare for a planned Series A in 2026 to build its first full-scale industrial facility.

  • Batea Oncology

    Participated · Seed · Dec 2025

Batea Oncology is developing a mechanomedicine platform that applies the mechanical properties of cancer cells to trap and alter residual tumor cells after surgery, beginning with glioblastoma. Its lead product, GlioHook, is a Class III implantable polycarbonate–polyurethane scaffold coated with bovine collagen designed to be stiffer than brain tissue so infiltrating tumor cells migrate into and adhere within the device. Mechanical confinement within GlioHook is claimed to reduce DNA repair and adaptive resistance pathways, increasing tumor-cell sensitivity to radiotherapy. The company has finalized GMP manufacturing, completed its regulatory preclinical package, and received Ethics Committee clearance for a first-in-human trial of 15 newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients with enrollment expected in Q4 2026. Batea plans to expand its mechanomedicine approach beyond glioblastoma to other solid tumors with high recurrence such as soft tissue sarcoma and is investigating combinations with immunotherapies. The company is based in Santiago de Compostela and has raised more than €3.1 million to date while currently closing an €8.5 million Series A to support clinical development and regulatory progression.

  • Appentra

    Participated · Equity · May 2024

Codee develops a performance-oriented code inspection and testing platform that detects bottlenecks early in the software development life cycle and suggests fixes through an integrated Coding Assistant. Built on a proprietary engine derived from the LLVM Intermediate Representation, the platform extracts conceptual features from source code to enforce rules defined in its Open Catalog of Best Practices for Performance. Initial validation in C on x86 has demonstrated up to an 18× speed-up for compute-intensive workloads using Intel oneAPI tools. The company is now expanding language coverage to C++ and Fortran and broadening hardware support to Arm and RISC-V ecosystems. Newly secured capital will fund customer-base expansion and continued product development. To date, the company has attracted institutional backing from several Spanish and European investors, reinforcing its position in the performance-engineering software market.
