  • Anodyne Nanotech

    Led · Series A · Jun 2026

Anodyne Nanotech develops a solid-state microneedle transdermal platform (HeroPatch™) designed to deliver multi-milligram, room-temperature-stable doses of large molecules—peptides, monoclonal antibodies, and nucleic acid therapeutics—with injection-level efficacy. Its lead program, ANN-101, is a once-weekly GLP-1 patch for obesity that the company intends to advance into Phase I clinical trials using proceeds from the Series A. The platform’s claimed ability to deliver large doses enables co-formulation of multiple active ingredients; Anodyne is also developing an apelin/GLP-1 combination patch aimed at addressing lean-mass loss associated with GLP-1–driven weight loss. The company is scaling manufacturing and pursuing strategic partnerships to commercialize the technology. Anodyne is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and recently added industry executive Vikram Lamba to its board of directors.

  • iCOMAT

    Participated · Series A · Jun 2024

iCOMAT’s core product is its Rapid Tow Shearing (RTS) process, an automated manufacturing technique that rearranges carbon-fibre tows so components are both lighter and stronger than those made with conventional composite lay-up. The company has just opened the 45,000 sq ft Advanced Composites Manufacturing Enterprise (ACMA) in Hardwicke, Gloucester, equipped with separate 2D-RTS and 3D-RTS production lines for satellite panels, solar-array substrates and curved propellant tanks. By reducing material usage, RTS lowers weight and cost while improving sustainability—critical benefits for spacecraft and satellites. The plant operates on an open-access model, allowing customers and research partners to prototype or scale production with RTS technology. Although designed for space, the same processes can be applied to next-generation aerospace and automotive parts, broadening iCOMAT’s commercial scope. The facility is projected to catalyse 2,000 skilled jobs and anchor a domestic supply chain for advanced composites in the UK. Development of ACMA was financed through a blend of public grants and match funding, underscoring strong institutional support but the article does not disclose any revenue or user metrics for the company.

  • Finloup

    Participated · Equity · Feb 2024

Finloup is a Greek-founded startup offering monthly leasing of electronic devices to customers ranging from sole proprietorships and freelancers to SMEs and large organisations. Founded in 2020 by CEO Antonis Prentzas and CFO Marios Noutsos, the company pivoted from a consumer BNPL model about a year and a half ago to focus on B2B leasing and strengthening clients' ESG indicators. Its service enables companies to free up funds, access up-to-date devices at lower cost, and redirect capital to growth activities. Finloup plans to use the new capital to expand market presence, particularly targeting startups and business customers. Financially, the company secured over €1M in the recent round and previously raised €1M in a 2021 pre-seed for product and business development. Current investors include Velocity Partners, Genesis Ventures, UAE-based Praxia Capital, and a number of business angels. Finloup is a Greek BNPL startup that offers interest-free, commission-based installment payments to consumers while charging merchants a commission on basket size and no upfront fees. Its core product uses a proprietary credit-scoring methodology that leverages open-banking data alongside proprietary and third-party data to predict consumer affordability. Since launching in 2020 the company has partnered with 21 merchants in Greece, including Funky Buddha, and reports a 40% increase in average consumer baskets in the months it has been operating. With the new funding Finloup plans to onboard at least 200 businesses within 12–18 months and expand into neighboring Southeast European markets. The team is prioritizing markets enabled by open banking, covered by existing customers, and supported by local startup investors.
