  • Seltz

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2026

Seltz builds a purpose-built search stack—owning its web crawler, index, retrieval models, and ranking—targeted at AI agents and chatbots that require machine-ready, citable information. The system crawls hundreds of millions of pages per day, returns results in under 200 milliseconds, and scores and extracts specific passages, tables, or images to supply agents rather than just human-oriented snippets. Founder and CEO Antonio Mallia previously worked on information retrieval in his PhD and at Amazon and Pinecone, and the team includes multiple PhD holders and veterans of Amazon’s AI efforts. Seltz was incorporated in the U.S. and founded last October, operates fully remotely with about 15 employees split between the San Francisco Bay Area and hubs near European universities in Pisa and Leipzig. The company faces a crowded competitive landscape with better-funded peers, but plans to use its seed funding to advance its search stack, hire, and launch enterprise sales. Its advisers and angel backers span technology companies and academic information-retrieval labs.

  • Planetary

    Participated · Series A · Apr 2026

Founded in 2021, Planetary develops and operates a proprietary full-stack platform for bioprocess design, scale-up and industrial fermentation via its BioBlocks system. The company builds, owns and operates fermentation facilities to produce bio-based proteins, fibres and enzymes and pursues an IP-rich licensing strategy with agro-industrial partners, particularly sugar companies. Planetary has commercial traction through product launches under its B2B brand Libre®, including a nationwide mycoprotein filet launch with ALDI Suisse at price parity. It operates industrial-scale production in Aarberg, Switzerland and is scaling sugar-to-protein upcycling technology globally, targeting ultra-low-cost mycoprotein production below €0.85/kg in collaborations with partners in sucrose-rich regions. Planetary is rolling out additional launches across alternative meat and dairy, meat hybrids, fibre-rich products and protein fortification applications. The company plans to expand its global commercial rollout and technology licensing efforts using the newly raised capital.

  • Zenline AI

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2025

Zenline AI develops agentic AI that combines margin data, competitive signals, social trends, and shopper behaviour to produce automated, product-level recommendations including pricing actions and assortment consolidation. Its system supports new product launches, rationalisation efforts, and ongoing optimisation of existing listings, and can operate even without a retailer's internal data. Since early 2025 Zenline has been used by European retailers and the platform now analyses more than one million SKUs, with a focus on speed and rapid execution. The founding team includes CEO Arber Sejdiji and a co‑founder whose background spans BCG, P&G, ETH Zurich, and the University of Cambridge. With new funding, Zenline plans to accelerate product development, refine its AI model, and expand into additional verticals. The company recently secured pre-seed capital to fund those plans.

  • ai|coustics

    Participated · Seed · Mar 2025

ai|coustics develops voice AI solutions that bring studio-quality sound to voice applications via an API and SDK. Its product optimizes workflows and reduces post-production by repairing home recordings, poor-quality microphones and environmental noise. The company targets the communication and content industries. Led by co-founder and CEO Fabian Seipel, ai|coustics already serves 500,000 users and lists clients including Elgato, DHD.audio, Deutsche Welle and Radio France. The company intends to use the funds to bring its AI-powered studio-quality sound to every platform and device. The team positions its technology to cut post-production workflows across platforms and devices. AI-coustics builds generative-AI models to improve speech intelligibility and reduce ambient noise across devices and recorded media. The company offers a web app, an API for post-processing, and an SDK for integration into apps, workflows and hardware. Its models are trained on speech samples recorded in the startup’s Berlin studio, where contributors are paid and the team simulates artifacts like reverberation, compression and clipping during training. AI-coustics currently monetizes via subscriptions, on-demand pricing and licensing, and reports about 20,000 users (not all paying) and five enterprise customers. Near-term plans include expanding the four-person team and improving the underlying speech-enhancing model, plus potential real-time use cases and embedding the technology in consumer devices. The founders emphasize recruiting diverse contributors to reduce bias in speech processing models.

  • Nelly

    Participated · Series B · Jan 2025

Nelly provides a software-as-a-service platform that digitizes patient onboarding, appointment booking and back-office workflows for medical and dental practices. Patients can book online, receive confirmations via SMS/WhatsApp/email, complete forms via a link or QR code, and pay via online payments or Nelly-managed card readers. On the practice side, Nelly integrates with existing practice management systems, handles invoicing and billing, offers expense management and corporate cards, and provides factoring for instant claim payouts. The product suite is positioned as a backbone for practice operations and creates integration-driven barriers to entry. Nelly has completed data protection certifications and says it was the first to send digital invoices in Germany’s medical space. The company works with more than 1,200 practices and major DSOs, and its product is live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and recently expanded to Italy with further country rollouts planned. Nelly provides a fully comprehensive GDPR-compliant digital process for medical practices, enabling patient admission, treatment contract signing, invoice delivery, and payment through a specialized e-signature system handled securely via smartphone. The platform is used in more than 450 practices and 350,000 patients and has digitized over 3 million documents and invoices. Led by CEO Niklas Radner, the company plans to develop additional products and deepen its fintech capabilities. Management also intends to expand into new medical verticals and markets and to further accelerate growth in Germany. Nelly raised €15M in a Series A round to fund these initiatives. The company is based in Berlin, Germany. Nelly is a Berlin-based fintech that provides a signature- and billing-tool for doctor practices, enabling digitized document handling, electronic signatures, and payment processing via patients' phones. The software manages patient intake and payment flows to reduce printing, scanning, manual data entry, archiving and postal billing. Nelly positions itself as a simple, integrable solution that works with existing practice management systems to ease daily administrative burden and address staff shortages. Its business model includes a monthly SaaS fee (tiered by feature/module) and payment fees tied to transaction volume and method. The company emphasizes usability so it is not an additional tool to be operated, but a productivity enhancer from day one. Nelly aims to adapt fintech best practices to medical billing and to improve the patient payment experience by asking payment preferences at intake. It plans to expand into new EU markets and grow its product portfolio with a larger team.
