QiOVA develops patented multi‑beam laser technology (VULQ1®) that marks 2D codes in a single laser pulse, with marking times on the order of ten billionths of a second and typically ~5× faster than existing laser solutions. Its systems integrate onto high‑cadence production lines to enable mass personalization and unit traceability for sectors such as luxury, pharmaceuticals, electronics, medical and consumer goods. The company highlights a lower environmental impact by permanently marking primary packaging and already counts customers including Sidel, Eli Lilly, Heinz Glas, Schott and Becton Dickinson. Founded in 2011 and based in Saint‑Etienne, QiOVA has won industrial innovation awards and is a laureate of the France 2030 investment plan. QiOVA intends to accelerate industrial deployment of its technology to serve high‑volume production and broaden use cases such as decoration and surface functionalization across multiple materials. The company recently secured new funding to support that scale‑up and industrialization.

Diamfab develops and manufactures semiconductor diamonds via a proprietary synthesis process and has inaugurated a pilot production line earlier this year. The company employs 26 people and reported no disclosed revenue figures in the articles. Diamfab has partnered with CEA and STMicroelectronics to demonstrate a diamond–tritium micro-nuclear battery and is working with Orano to explore other radioisotopes to increase power. It targets niche markets already identified for which its diamond technology is described as mature for radiation and high-temperature applications, and plans demonstrators for spatial, nuclear and quantum markets. The firm aims to mature its processes and scale industrial capacity to address the larger power electronics market around 2030–2032. Its prior funding round raised €8.7 million two years ago and about €4 million of that supported its first pilot line.

Previa Medical develops SEPSI-SCORE, an AI platform that analyses electronic medical records to detect and define sepsis infections, in some cases up to 48 hours before symptoms appear. The system is trained to interpret personal data from patients' electronic health records, including vital signs, and aims to reduce sepsis mortality and shorten hospital stays. The product was certified as a medical device in 2021. Previa plans to use the recent seed proceeds to fund a new multicentre clinical trial to further validate the technology, recruit users, expand product reach, and prepare for a full commercial launch. The company originated from an AI for health challenge launched in 2022 by Bpifrance and the French health ministry and has received grant funding from that initiative. The seed raise totaled €2.1 million and will support both clinical validation and commercialization efforts.

HySiLabs is developing a process that binds hydrogen molecules into a silica-based liquid carrier, allowing hydrogen to be stored and transported at ambient pressure and temperature and released on demand. Early tests indicate the carrier is stable and could be handled using existing infrastructure. The company is working on several industrial pilots, including H2Gate with the Port of Amsterdam (industrial-scale storage) and QualifHY with Helion Hydrogen Power (coupling its solution with fuel cells). Diabeloop develops DBLG1, a closed-loop diabetes management system that integrates a continuous glucose sensor, an insulin pump and AI algorithms to automate insulin delivery for people with type 1 and highly unstable type 1 diabetes. The system’s algorithms analyze real-time glucose data and deliver personalized insulin doses based on patient parameters and entered information. DBLG1 completed clinical trials in 2017 and received CE marking in 2018. The solution is in use by more than 10,000 patients and has been deployed in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the Netherlands. With a new €15 million funding round, the company intends to accelerate revenue growth of its closed-loop system and prepare the launch of DBLG2, an algorithm integrated into a smartphone app for Android and iOS. The company was founded in 2015 by Guillaume Charpentier and Erik Huneker and has appointed François Miceli as President and CEO. Diabeloop builds machine-learning software and CE-marked closed-loop systems (DBLG1 and DBL-hu) that connect continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps to automate insulin delivery in real time. Its algorithms personalize therapy, reducing patient decision burden and aiming to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life. The company has commercially launched two products in Europe and was rapidly approaching 10,000 equipped patients one year after launch. Diabeloop also offers a CE-marked data-visualization telemedicine platform for clinicians and is adapting its core algorithm to the connected-pen market and developing smart-watch devices. Founded in 2015 and operating from Paris, the company employs over 160 people. The business plans to use new funding to accelerate commercial roll-out, international expansion and continued product development. Diabeloop is a Grenoble-based medical-technology spin-off founded in 2015 that develops the DBLG1, a hybrid closed-loop system for autonomous type 1 diabetes management. DBLG1 connects a continuous glucose monitor, an insulin patch pump and a locked-down handset that hosts a personalized, self-learning decision algorithm. The system uses layered safety mechanisms and machine-learning expert layers; Diabeloop owns related patents, some jointly with research partner CEA, and co-develops with CEA-Leti and CERITD. A randomized 68-person home trial published in The Lancet Digital Health showed significant improvement in glycemic control and reduced hypoglycemic risk; the study ran in 12 hospitals across France. Pediatric (ages 6–12) and highly unstable diabetes trials are ongoing, and the company plans a larger study for an FDA submission while pursuing reimbursement in France, discussions in Germany, and mid-term expansion across Europe. Diabeloop has also stated it will continue R&D to address other diabetes types and to further reduce the daily mental load of the disease.
