  • NuVision

    Participated · Equity · Feb 2026

NuVision Biotherapies develops and manufactures amniotic-membrane–based solutions for ophthalmology. Its dual-patented Tereo Process enables scalable processing of amniotic membrane, forming the basis of its product line. The company’s first product, Omnigen, is used in operating theatres, while OmniLenz, a specialised contact lens, delivers the same therapy without surgery, extending treatment to opticians’ practices and outpatient clinics. NuVision now supplies more than 160 NHS centres and private clinics in the UK, including Moorfields Eye Hospital, and serves customers in 12 countries across Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East. Founded by Dr. Andy Hopkinson, the company is focused on expanding operations and further product development. The newly secured capital will finance this expansion as NuVision seeks broader international reach and additional clinical applications for its technology.

  • ImmuONE

    Participated · Equity · Mar 2025

ImmuONE develops a 3D human lung model that enables companies to replace or reduce the need for animal testing. Its platform supports respiratory safety tests and more complex immunology assays that show long-term effects of substances on the lung, including potential to cause inflammation. The company serves consumer products and pharmaceutical customers and has recently taken on clients in the chemicals sector. ImmuONE plans to use the newly raised funds to develop its capabilities, target new sectors such as agrichemicals and automotive, and expand its team. It intends to hire two new scientists as part of that expansion. The company raised £600K in this round to support those developments. ImmunONE has developed a laboratory-grown 3D human lower lung tissue and immune-cell model that assesses the safety of drugs, chemicals and cosmetics without using animals. The model enables testing of small airways and lung inflammation, producing results that are more reliable and reproducible than animal tests or invasive lung‑scraping. The technology was developed by Dr Abigail Martin during her PhD and the company was founded with Professor Victoria Hutter in 2019. ImmunONE serves around 20 customers globally, including blue‑chip chemical and consumer‑products companies, and has generated over £1m in revenue since its launch two years ago. The company plans to use the funds to move into new headquarters in Milton Keynes, open new laboratories in Stevenage to expand capacity, continue R&D, grow the team and create six new jobs. ImmunONE is based in Hatfield, UK.

  • Neobe Therapeutics

    Led · Equity · Mar 2024

Neobe Therapeutics is developing programmable engineered live biotherapeutics designed to remove physical and immunological barriers in the tumour microenvironment to enable immune cell infiltration. Its approach targets highly fibrotic stroma and other causes of immune exclusion that limit immunotherapy responses in solid tumours. Since inception the company has engineered two differentiated proprietary products with demonstrated pre-clinical efficacy aimed at colorectal, pancreatic and breast cancers. Neobe was founded in 2021 by CEO Pedro Correa de Sampaio and CSO Annelise Soulier out of a venture-creation alliance between Deep Science Ventures and Cancer Research Horizons. Leadership includes chair Keith Blundy, a serial BioMedTech executive with experience in drug development, strategy and VC fundraising. The company says the new funding and grant support will be used to advance its engineered live therapeutics toward clinical impact and broaden the benefits of immunotherapies to non-responding patients.
