- Silicon MicroGravity
Participated · Equity · Jul 2026
Silicon Microgravity commercialises MEMS-based sensing technologies spun out of Cambridge University, developing high-performance accelerometers, gyroscopes and MEMS gravimeters. The company targets two primary markets: inertial navigation—offering smaller, higher-accuracy MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes—and gravity sensing, providing compact gravimeters for surveys and alternative navigation. Its technology is positioned for applications across defence, space, aerospace, robotics and geophysics, and the company says its MEMS accelerometers are already supporting advanced space programmes and satellite-enabled mineral exploration. SMG emphasizes production for extreme operating environments and is focused on scaling UK manufacturing and semiconductor production capacity. Early support included BP during development for oil and gas applications, and the company reports growing commercial validation from global customers and partners.
- Revolver Therapeutics
Participated · Seed · Jul 2026
Revolver Therapeutics was spun out of the University of Bath to commercialize a proprietary Transcription Block Survival platform that discovers cell-penetrating peptides designed to inhibit transcription factors. The company focuses on producing first-in-class, cell-penetrating peptide therapeutics and is advancing initial assets into colorectal cancer. Company scientists report they have demonstrated stopping tumour cell growth in laboratory studies and have addressed challenges of intracellular delivery. Revolver has received institutional backing including UKI2S (which first invested in 2024), QantX, and support from the University of Bath’s Technology Transfer team. The recent £572k round will fund further platform development and progression of its pipeline toward therapeutic candidates for cancers with unmet needs.
- K3Metrology
Led · Seed · May 2026
K3Metrology commercialises metrology technology developed at the National Physical Laboratory to allow manufacturers to measure multiple points simultaneously and continuously during assembly. The system is designed to identify alignment issues in real time, reducing production downtime and late-stage rework, particularly for high-value sectors such as aerospace. The company has relocated to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre in North Wales to deepen engagement with industrial partners and accelerate commercial deployment. Funding from the recent seed round will expand the engineering team, accelerate industrial trials and support early deployments. The technology represents the translation of around 15 years of NPL research into an industrial capability. The article does not disclose revenue, users, or prior financing metrics.
