  • ORiS

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

ORiS develops laser-based wireless power transmission (WPT) systems aimed at enabling in-orbit energy distribution for satellites and dual-use applications such as drone charging. The company has demonstrated wireless power transfer to a hovering drone at distances exceeding 100 metres and is commercializing LOONA, a drone charging platform incubated in NATO DIANA's accelerator programme. ORiS is exploring lunar surface power concepts and completed a feasibility study with Thales Alenia Space. Its roadmap includes building critical subsystems, producing a flight model for satellite-to-satellite power transfer, and scaling LOONA toward a commercial product. The startup is led by Politecnico di Torino engineers Andrea Villa (CEO), Anna Mauro (CTO), Domenico Edoardo Sfasciamuro (CCO) and Francesco Lopez (COO). It raised €5 million in combined venture and grant funding to advance R&D, expand its engineering team, and move into laboratory and clean-room facilities.

Users describe symptoms and are typically matched with a doctor within five minutes, with consultations conducted in English and pricing starting from €20. Doctorsa addresses urgent-care needs for international travellers and reports that approximately 40% of its patients are US citizens. The company has developed a proprietary Agentic Booking infrastructure built on open-standard interfaces to enable bookings through AI assistants. Doctorsa plans to expand internationally—particularly in the US—and to roll out a B2B product for travel companies, insurers and employers.

  • Auryx

    Participated · Seed · Apr 2026

Auryx builds a software platform that analyzes acoustic signals from the heart, lungs, and blood flow using microphones embedded in everyday consumer hardware. The company’s approach focuses initially on earbuds, leveraging the relative stability of the ear to capture cleaner physiological signals than wrist-based optical sensors. Auryx’s acoustic sensing can extract metrics beyond heart rate, including respiratory rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure according to the company. The founding team comprises researchers from the University of Cambridge, including CEO Erika Bondareva, CTO Kayla-Jade Butkow, and Chief Scientific Officer Professor Cecilia Mascolo. Auryx recently raised $2 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate hardware integration, model development, commercial partnerships, and team expansion. The company plans to expand from earbuds to other microphone-equipped devices and additional health applications.

Before its market launch it engaged over thirty customers across sectors including medical devices and IT, and has processed more than 60,000 tenders, analyzed over 2,000, and produced 500 technical and administrative documents. Founders include CEO Andrea Zorzetto and CTO Matteo Bossolini. The startup plans to expand beyond its initial sector focus and will use the newly raised funds to further develop and scale its automation platform.
