  • HexSeed

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2026

HexSeed Technology develops a low-temperature microwave plasma process to grow diamond coatings directly onto finished gallium nitride (GaN) devices to pull heat away from active regions. The startup says this approach could allow GaN devices to run harder, last longer and use less energy, addressing thermal limits in power conversion for data centres. HexSeed works closely with University of Bristol researchers, including Professors Paul May and Martin Kuball, and was founded in late 2025 by Mark Tandy, Dr Leonardo Santoni and Dr Michael Glerum. The company plans to demonstrate its coating process on commercial GaN power devices and progress toward pilot customer engagements, initially targeting data centre power conversion hardware. It has raised over €700k in early-stage funding and provisionally unlocked a Partnership Grant from Innovate UK to support development.

  • Zerolook

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Zerolook uses machine-learning models trained on historical fares, schedules and availability to predict flight options and prices, returning each prediction with a confidence score. The product sacrifices some real-time accuracy in order to answer far larger volumes of search queries at lower cost compared with live pricing systems. The founders—Simone Lini (ex-Google Flights/Waynaut) and George Hadjiyiannis (PhD, MIT; ex-Kayak/Google/Nvidia/eBay)—intend to validate the approach through pilot programs with online travel partners. Zerolook plans to launch its first API and expand its machine-learning team in Zurich using proceeds from the pre-seed round. The company cites industry trends—searches per ticket sold rising from hundreds to tens of thousands and projected to reach millions by 2030—that drive demand for lower-cost search infrastructure. It operates in a market for flight data APIs valued at $1.72 billion in 2025 and projected to grow to $4.67 billion by 2033, and the pilots are intended to determine whether predictive pricing is sufficiently accurate for airlines and OTAs.

  • Seltz

    Participated · Seed · Jun 2026

Seltz builds a purpose-built search stack—owning its web crawler, index, retrieval models, and ranking—targeted at AI agents and chatbots that require machine-ready, citable information. The system crawls hundreds of millions of pages per day, returns results in under 200 milliseconds, and scores and extracts specific passages, tables, or images to supply agents rather than just human-oriented snippets. Founder and CEO Antonio Mallia previously worked on information retrieval in his PhD and at Amazon and Pinecone, and the team includes multiple PhD holders and veterans of Amazon’s AI efforts. Seltz was incorporated in the U.S. and founded last October, operates fully remotely with about 15 employees split between the San Francisco Bay Area and hubs near European universities in Pisa and Leipzig. The company faces a crowded competitive landscape with better-funded peers, but plans to use its seed funding to advance its search stack, hire, and launch enterprise sales. Its advisers and angel backers span technology companies and academic information-retrieval labs.

  • Gyver

    Participated · Seed · May 2026

Gyver builds AI-powered workforce infrastructure and a conversational hiring platform aimed at electricians and industrial employers, seeking to replicate referral and word-of-mouth hiring processes. The company plans to expand beyond recruitment into upskilling, learning and workforce productivity tools for electricians. Its long-term roadmap includes providing modern technical tools for electrical design and PLC workflows to boost productivity across skilled trades. Gyver positions itself against a backdrop of growing demand for skilled blue-collar workers in Europe, where industry estimates project an additional 5.8 million workers will be needed by 2030. The startup was founded by Francesco Defendi, Leo Acciarri and Mattia Zarrelli and recently closed a €1.4M pre-seed round to fund product development and growth.

  • Always Friday

    Led · Seed · Apr 2026

Always Friday offers an AI-first platform that automates key corporate event planning workflows—venue sourcing, supplier selection, operations, contracts and payments—using proprietary AI agents. Its agents can automate up to 90% of operational tasks, shortening processes that typically take weeks to just a few hours. The company was founded in 2024 in Latina and currently has nine employees. Financially, it has grown revenue fivefold year-on-year and in Q1 2026 matched its full-year 2025 revenue. Always Friday targets enterprise and mid-market clients where event volume and complexity are highest. It is building one of Italy’s largest proprietary event supplier databases and plans to expand across Europe. The company intends to invest in engineering, AI agent development and data infrastructure to support that growth.
