Participated · Equity · Mar 2026
Foreverland develops industrial-scale, cocoa-free ingredient solutions intended to replicate the taste and functionality of chocolate; its flagship product Choruba is made from Mediterranean crops such as carob. The company positions its offerings as a way to reduce cocoa supply-chain risks, address price volatility, and mitigate climate-related pressures on cocoa farming. Foreverland has achieved IFS Food certification and reports accelerating demand from confectionery manufacturers. It aims to enable manufacturers to maintain production stability while offering more stable pricing and lower environmental impact. The company plans to expand commercially across Europe, strengthen partnerships with major confectionery players, recruit senior talent from the cocoa and chocolate industry, and expand its product portfolio to include an organic cocoa-free line. To date it has raised a total of €9.4 million in funding.
- SUMM Ingredients
Participated · Equity · Sep 2025
SUMM Ingredients, formerly known as Nutrumami, engineers fermented protein ingredients that simultaneously deliver umami flavour, mouthfeel and nutritional benefits, enabling food producers to simplify clean-label formulations. Its first product line, FermiPro, naturally builds texture, reduces reliance on additives and can cut salt by up to 30 % while boosting protein, minerals and B-vitamins. The company is showcasing several application-ready formats, including Cultured ProMix for plant-based cheese, Bouillon Creamer for ready meals, Saucier for dairy-free sauces, Texture+ for alternative meats, and Plant Booster seasonings. Management plans to launch FermiPro commercially with customers in autumn 2025 and is expanding its commercial capabilities with the hire of former Barry Callebaut and AAK executive Kasper Bus as Chief Commercial Officer. SUMM Ingredients positions its technology as a new ingredient category—“multifunctional, fermented proteins”—targeting the growing demand for clean-label, healthier foods. The recent €1.7 million raise sets the company’s next milestones of scaling production and bringing FermiPro to global markets.
- amass
Participated · Equity · Aug 2025
amass offers a platform that links patents, research papers, regulatory filings, trial data and internal documents to help researchers make quicker, evidence-backed decisions in regulated life‑science workflows. The company develops specialised models to capture important scientific details and minimise irrelevant information for complex queries. Its platform links concepts across sources and shows the evidence behind each result, supporting transparency and decision-making in pharma and biotech. Early users include startups, public institutions, and industry players. With the new funding, amass plans to improve its products, expand into more markets and build an AI map that represents the world’s scientific knowledge to make insights persistent and discovery-ready.
- Sallea
Participated · Seed · Oct 2024
sallea develops precisely structured, edible, porous 3D scaffolds that serve as the foundation for cultivating textured whole cuts of meat and fish. Its scaffolds are added to bioreactors where cells attach and grow in three dimensions into whole cuts, improving texture and nutritional profile. The technology enables manufacturers to tailor scaffold size, shape, and nutritional composition to end products. sallea’s proprietary approach is built on research developed at ETH Zurich and was founded in November 2023 by an all-female founding team (Dr. Nicole Kleger, Simona Fehlmann, and Anna Bünter). The company plans to upgrade production capacity, enter partnerships for product co-development, and initiate pilot projects with cultivating companies globally. Financially, sallea has secured $2.6M in a pre-seed equity round and previously received $1.8M in non-dilutive research and startup grants. sallea has developed a 3D structuring platform that produces edible scaffolds to support cell growth in three dimensions, aiming to enable fully textured whole cuts rather than thin layers or minced products. The scaffolds are designed to improve texture, taste, and nutritional value of cultivated meat and fish. The founding team of Simona Fehlmann, Nicole Kleger and Anna Bünter is positioning the company to address limitations of current cultivated-protein systems. sallea notes strong market momentum in cellular agriculture, citing an expected 93% growth rate over the next decade and a projected $20 billion cultivated-meat market by 2030. The company reports that first potential customers in the ecosystem received regulatory approval to sell processed products in the USA this summer, which management says should create additional opportunities. sallea plans to use recent program funding to strengthen business development and accelerate exploration of the U.S. market.
- Nūmi
Participated · Seed · Nov 2023
Numi (formerly MUMilk) is developing in vitro breast milk by isolating, culturing, and growing human mammary cells to produce milk. The company sources mammary cells via partnerships with hospitals and lactariums and uses laboratory processes to extract and purify the produced milk. Its aim is to recreate a product as close as possible to natural breast milk, including its bioactive molecules. Founders Eden Banon-Lagrange and Eugénie Pezé-Heidsieck lead the effort to offer parents a natural choice when breastfeeding isn't possible. Numi plans to make the U.S. its first market due to novel food regulatory delays in Europe. The company recently raised seed funding to support recruitment and accelerate R&D.
